GENERAL TRADING (COMMODITIES)

The trading division focuses on sourcing and trading of non- traditional commodities including Cashew Nuts, Salt, Rice, Sugar, Shea nut, Yam, Pineapple etc. for both export and import.

In 2003, we were very active in export of Yams to a Ghanaian base UK Company called SEACAS until 2005 when the contact ended. Within the same period we partnered with Fair Avenue Venture Limited  buying and exporting Pineapples to France. That lasted for few months due to dishonesty on the part of the buyer.

2010 We entered into Raw Cashew Nut business for the first time, buying, storage and exporting to Onus Enterprise, an Indian Company, who is our major buyer. At the end of 2010 season, we had exported 300 MT to India and Vietnam. The volume shot up from year to year. We have never had a consignment being rejected as a result of reduced quality by consignees.
